dorward whoville pink pigtailsDavid Dorward is my MLA and my friend. He is the real deal. I wish more politicians were like him-down-to-earth, fun, kind, and not full of himself. For the past 13 months, he has grown out his incredible mop of hair for the purpose of donating it to be turned into a wig for children who have lost their hair during chemotherapy treatments. Here’s a video of David’s haircut at École Gabrielle Roy. He first offers some words of advice to the students, and makes reference to the 2 students at the school who recently lost their father in the recent west end warehouse stabbings, noting that he and the principal agreed that although it was a time of sadness for the school, this could be a reason for much-needed celebration and joy. He even let me snip a pink lock off the back, as you will see in the video!
