Last year, I toured Canada, covering 9 cities in 6 provinces, skating at each stop with friends and family. It was a lot of fun, and above all, we raised $11000 for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, and more specifically, violence prevention programs for teens! I’m really proud of that, and I want to do it again.
This time, I am going to 12 cities so that we can raise even more money together and have a greater positive impact. My goal is $15000, and I will need your help raising it.
Please open your heart and your wallet and help me hit my goal. I will gladly accept any donation, and suggest a $25 donation if you are able. To see last year’s donors, scroll down to the bottom of the page. It’s a huge list!
Click here to make an online donation. I am able to accept donations in person, although it would be much appreciated if you can do it online, and that way you are guaranteed to receive a tax receipt.
Each skating event is simply a social on ice to get out for some fresh air and great company. Despite the claims made in the poster, I’m really not that great a skater. I invite all skill levels to join us on the ice. If it’s medically unwise for you to skate, then come and watch! I always take photos and video at each location for posterity’s sake.
There will also be a meal either before or after the skate (and possibly both). BeaverTails, sushi, donairs, subs, dim sum, and more. Never skate on an empty stomach.
I will also be giving away autographed posters to donors upon request.

“What the heck is Best Bar None, anyway?” That was my question when Dave Young invited me to attend a walking tour of 4 BBN accredited downtown Edmonton bars. At first, it seemed odd to invite a straight-edge guy to a series of bars, although it didn’t take long for
