Mayor Iveson virtual ribbon cutting for EDAC

Today, Guru Digital Arts College rebranded and became the Edmonton Digital Arts College. My friend Owen Brierley is the head cheese over there, and he invited me to the press conference. Instead of a traditional ribbon cutting, Owen, the future-thinking digiwizard he is, created a virtual setting for the coolest ribbon cutting you’ll likely ever see. The downside was, only Mayor Iveson was able to really see it, as it was in 3D, and he was wearing a nifty Oculus Rift 3D headset. We got to watch a double screen version to follow along in 2D what he was actually seeing. Still very cool. Watch the video here:
